The kindergarten class enjoyed a beautiful day on our field trip to Tiessen's Farm. The farmer taught us about the history of the pumpkin, how long it takes to grow a mature pumpkin and what the vine and flowers look like. Then, we rode the wagon out to the pumpkin patch where we picked our very own pumpkin to take home. Our class competed with Mrs. Thrasher's class to find the largest pumpkin in the patch. We won!
We will continue experimenting with pumpkins all through next week. We look forward to measuring, carving, and floating our pumpkin and eating some roasted seeds.
Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who took time to join us and help make our day so enjoyable!
